Bi-lingual Device Tests Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure at the Same Time
Tania Madorma with the Diabetic Support Program demonstrates a new all-in-one blood pressure monitor and blood glucometer device that speaks in both English and Spanish to the person diagnosed with diabetes. People diagnosed with diabetes are also often diagnosed with high blood pressure. This device was designed with this in mind, and also designed for the visually impaired, speaking in your choice of English or Spanish.

Scott interviews Martha Funnell, MS, RN, CDE and Michael Weiss who have published a new book The Little Diabetes Book You Need to Read. The two collaborated to write a book about how to get what you need done after you have been diagnosed with diabetes. The book was inspired and written after Michael was diagnosed with diabetes and felt that nothing had prepared him for this.
Prodigy Voice Meter Designed with the National Federation of the Blind
Chris Gwaltney with Diagnostic Devices demonstrates the new Prodigy voice meter. Gwaltney says that this is the only meter on the market today that will allow the user to hear every process from setup, through memory and the testing process. The meter was designed in collaboration with the National Federation of the Blind.

Lilly Introduces KwikPen for Humalog and Humalog Mixtures Eli Lilly and Company has introduced KwikPen, a pre-filled insulin pen containing its Humalog insulin brand of insulins. The pen is the third that Lilly has introduced over the past 12 months, following in the wake of the HumaPen MEMOIR, a digital insulin pen with memory, and the HumaPen® LUXURA HD, a reusable pen for people who need insulin dosing in smaller increments.
